Darrell Stingerie passes away 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1  
Long time local favorite Darrell Stingerie passed away tuesday 11/18 at 4:10. Darrell raced at all of the local tracks and all accross the country, most widely known as a fantastic painter and the driver of some of the most beautiful cars to race around here, most notibly the "Colt 45" Fords. Darrell will be missed by all.
RIP my friend.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about this. I was a fan of his Colt 45's back in the Englewood days, but I didn't really get to know him until I was the track announcer for the CARC shows @ Second Creek in the mid-'90's. He was running a Legend car then and always had some great stories to tell. I still have and wear a couple of the shirts he gave me that have 'STINGERIE RACING' on them. R.I.P.

Darrell was a a good guy. I'd go up to his shop in Eastlake & just hang out and shoot the bull with him. He always made time for me. Here from the F&M Performance and Machine Archives shot by Bill Summers we have some REAL nice shots to remember Darrell by ~ Rick.
