Forum to show off members cars.

Just a suggestion from a 'newbie' to this Site, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we had a Forum where members can show off either their old racecars, current ride or what they have in the workshop building or restoring. Also maybe a page where members can reflect on their own race career...... just a thought.

Also maybe a page where members can reflect on their own race career...... just a thought.That's a cool idea but I'm not sure we need to create any new forums for that, members can start threads regarding those types of topics in the "chit chat (http://autoracingmemories.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12)" forum or in the "General Discussion about Racing History (http://autoracingmemories.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2)" forum.

Here's a couple clunkers I used to own.

Supposed to be a 1971, but the VIN# said it was a 69, got it in a trade for a wrecked midget I had. Was fast, but not in really good shape, but damn fast. Had a 350 bored .030, flat top pistons, solid lifters medium rise Edlebrock with a 650 dbl pumper, not fancy but had a great cam, head work. This clunker was amazingly fast...and loud the side pipes were operational. This is the car Webby was talking about.

My wife is a Mustang nut, got her this 69 mach I, had a 351 Windsor, this motor was a beast, may have been faster than the Vette. The weak link was the FMX trans.

Not fast, but really good looking, 1966 LeMans, 326 with power glide, needed a interior restoration, a fun car to drive. Me and the wife owned these cars years ago, don't have anything worth looking at in my garage right now.

My personal favorite, my 1979 Barnett chassis with SCAT power ( 140 C.I.). That's me on the Belleville, KS High Banks at the "Coors Midget Nationals" in Aug of 1982. Now this was a fun car to drive.
But now I'm jealous of you guys and your Vettes, and coupes, great cars guys
must be a blast to drive those around town!!

Don't you just wish you could have kept all the cars you've ever owned? Not being biased,but love the Vette,never been into 'modern' Fords but the Pontiac is cool,and you've just got to love the race car......so cool.

This was in my garage in 1968......my Ford Pop,and my first Model B....my friends roadster shared some space....we were 19 years old....dont know where the time went....

I know you can get one of these in the States now...had ours for 3 years....dont know I'd like to be boxed in between two trucks on the interstate.....but the 70 mpg is quite good.......
