Cool article (also sad), but I am thrilled to see it get a bit of attention. Too bad some type of historical society couldn't step in and do something with the track since it has so much history associated with it.

Since the article was printed, I have received several inquiries concerning the "Most Main Event Wins", information box, on the back page of the article. Please note that the Denver Post left out the caption, "MIDGET MAIN EVENT WINS", (it was corrected on the website version), and applies only to Midget Main event winners from 1938 to 1988. Most total wins, for all classes of cars at LAKESIDE SPEEDWAY, might make for an interesting discussion among ARM members!
