Track Records from 1968 Englewood Program

From a 1968 Englewood Speedway Program that was given to me by John Rice of Rice Automotive, we can see the Track Records that were being held as of that year. Interesting that the fastest time was recorded by Bill Crow, driving a Jet Coupe, with a time of 15.92. Mr. Crow drove from Canada to set this record. That was a pretty fast lap for the 1/3rd mile paved Colorado oval. I will post some of the pictures from this program at a later time.

The times are a bit difficult to read. They are:

Super Stock: 17.14 by Joe Lehman
Modified: 15.93 by Sam Sauer (just one tick off the track record)
Figure Eight: 24.58 by Pete Brandenburg (Pete was a talented driver, and his signpainting abilities are 2nd to none)
Fastest Overall: 15.92 by Bill Crow from Canada driving a Jet Coupe
