OK..One more and I am done for this year. Yet Another great photo from the Archie Johnston collection, this one taken in the pits at Colorado National Speedway, shows the #84 Chevelle belonging to and driven by Lonnie Lawson. I know that Lonnie was a Champion at CNS, one...maybe two years, but I cannot remember when. Maybe in the early 70's. Anyway, this car was kool to me cus #1- The numbers were placed to the back of the door (which at the time was a new look) and #2- It was not everyday that you saw a stock car with these color combos on them. Lonnie could flat get with the program in anything that he drove. I never had the opportunity to meet Lonnie, but I heard he is quite a character.
