From the Leo Branstetter collection, taken in 1984 at Colorados Lakeside Speedway, I am being presented with some hardware for a main event win. I remember that earlier in the evening, during one of the shorter races, I was involved in a crash which took out my right rear wheel and tire. So, even though I won this nights feature, it probably would not pay enough to cover my new tire, let alone the wheel.
Oh well, such are the problems with getting bit by the racing bug. 1984 was a fun filled year for me and the crew.
Who are those guys standing behind us....looks familiar.
