Archie Johnston lettered most all of Larry DeChants stockers. This car however, was lettered by me, Rick Losh. This is also the car I believe people associate to when Larry DeChant becomes the topic of a conversation. When this car showed up, that feature race you were planning on winning, just became a nightmare. Larry frequently "dropped in" at unsuspecting tracks to "take the money and run". He ran this car everywhere..and everywhere they went, they won.
Reggie Brown is a talented mechanic and would assemble and fine tune Larrys cars. Reggie drag raced and the name of his car was "Ratler". It was lettered by Ron Avers and was done in gold leaf with lots of airbrushed highlights. Larry used the same scheme to create his own "Ratler" version. Reggie Brown would later go on to win a late model championship on the dirt at Colorado National Speedway.

P.S.---WOW...How about that trophy girl....HUBBA,HUBBA,HUBBA!!!
