Wayne Stallsworth in the #7 Doenges-Glass Mustang

What a great photo this is. From Archie Johnstons collection, here we see Wayne Stallsworth posing in the #7 Doenges-Glass Ford Mustang. This picture was shot in the pits of Colorados Englewood Speedway. Behind Waynes steed, are the #222 Late Model of Lynn Jones. The #40 Late Model was owned and driven by Pick Pickering. The #81 Figure 8 car is a beauty and I can see it running through the X, but I cannot recall the drivers name....Help me Jerry Lee.

I always loved that late model, I remember it mostly as a red #4, and at Englewood one night they had Stallsworth match race Jim Opperman in his neat #10 roadster style super mod. Opperman's super was too quick for the heavier late model, and Stallsworth spun trying to keep up with the super mod. Great memories.

I found this May 22, 1974 Englewood Speedway newsletter, and here are the two gents mentioned.
As I recall at the time of the match race Stallsworth, and Opperman were points leaders in their respective divisions.
