hello all--my name is Kevin Tearney..some of you from the CARC might regonize my name or my screen name--THPracing...I was the crew chief on all of Moose Harmon"s 44 cars at Lakeside, and builder of all the cars that went through our race team/shop . We ran at Lakeside 13 yrs from 76 to 88, and I continued at other venues til 96. At that time, I retired from racing and started my const. co.--Tearney const. I suffered a nerar-fatal motorcycle wreck in 06 and since I can"t work anymore, I decided to come back to the club and I currently work on Steven St. Peter's #11 modified. I had a spred on the old memories website, and I am currently working on a package about Moose, myself, Ricky Parker, and Tommy Smith--all original members of the team. If Anyone has any old pix from Lakeside with our cars (17 of em), I would like to here from yopu as all our pix are spread around the U.S., and theres alot of them.thanx kt

Hi Kevin,
Chris and I were talking about Moose just the other day. Glad to see you on this sight. There are a lot of memories about the nights at Lakeside and I remember your 'team' trying to fight not wearing the white pants. Remember Moose trying to get into a pair of the paper white pants? I tried hard not to laugh at him. I was in the pit shack with Shirley Rhoades and Barbara Roskopf in 1985.
Enjoy your time on here...I sure have learned a lot.

Hi Kevin. It is great to hear from you. Moose was always a kick to race against. You guys certainly made racing interesting, at first I thought you guys were a bunch of out of control motorcycle gang dudes.....but after I got to know you, just a bunch of fun loving racing enthusiasts. I remember you guys throwing the hog roast at Barber Ponds, before going to Jimmy Meins and then on to Cheyenne to race. After I quit racing, I heard that Moose bought my old car from Jeff Anderson. Is that true? I also heard that the car was destroyed in a on track mishap. After the races, we used to party across the street at the Shamrock, but I do not recall you guys doing that very much. You probably had your own parties to attend. Anyway, again, it is great to know you are here in town and I am looking forward to some of your stories and photos. If you need help loading photos, call me at 303-450-6774. I would be more than happy to help you.

hey rick---which car are you asking about--the only car that jeff helped us get was the petty car (i think) and we ran it in 82 and 83, then sold the chassis to someone in nebraska, and ran the drivetrain in 84 before going strictly bowtie (finnally) ..it had the dart body, then a barracuda body and then a plastic volare flexiflyer---is that it? kt

The last car that I owned was a 71 Chevell frame that had an aluminum body on it. It can be seen under drivers: Rick Losh. It is the black #95 with orange lettering. I am not sure if you guys got it or not. I just heard that it ended up with you. This would have been after the 85 season.

hey rick--sorry it took so long to replie to ur ?'s-- Steve and I had to replace the top-end this week--so we've been to busy--Moose seems to think our camaro in 86 and 87 was either an old stallsworth car or an old d. stingerie chassis---the car had either a 3 link or 5 link rear with our franklin in it---I saw your car online and it doesn't look like our chassis--sooner or later I'll have pix of all our cars on this site--so we'll see---kt
ps...the only car we had that died a racing death was our first dodge---black #44 67 coronet--I was unloading it at mustang spec. in Aurora in 1980 and the fuel pump burst at the tank and we had a car-b-que--kt

well, I stand corrected---I just finished talking to Moose and Rick losh--and the camero we ran in 86 and 87 was ricks #95 car from the year before---purple in color and a real camero body---factory sheet metal---we do not know who we sold it to after the 87 season--but it was never wrecked---it was Moose's last lakeside car--he moved to Michagan that fall--and Tommy's pontiac the next year was the last THPracing car at lakeside---I will be putting pix of our stuff on here shortly---kt
