Here are some jewels that came from Johnnie Mauro, my Dad worked for Jonnie for many years and he gave some things to my Dad, that I now proudly possess. This stuff was scanned for me by Rick Wasilko and was on the old ARM. I thought that these should be shared.
These first shots were inserted into the book and I think they must have been handed out at Indy.

From the last page of the book and rear cover. This is just a brief summary of the book, but I thought that it would be enjoyed.

Hey, Bruce! Thanks for re-posting this article. Rick Wasilko was really surprised when I informed him that Ab Jenkin's Mormon Meteor race car was restored and sitting inside the Utah State Capital Building out here in SLC, UT. ~VB

Remarkable stuff, fun to look over. Didn't historian Gordon Eliot White just release a book about Ab Jenkins?

Hey, Mitch! I have not seen anything about Gordon Eliot White's book on Ab Jenkins. But, I am confident it would be a great read! ~VB
In the old ARM days, Bruce & Rick Wasilko's article about the Official Competition Rules book of AAA (1947) was near the top of hits right after the Lakeside Speedway forum. And every time I talked to Rick Wasilko, he kept asking my if I had visited the Utah State Capital Building to photograph Ab Jenkin's 1938 Mormon Meteor III race car. And now that Utah millionaire, developer, and entrepreneur, John Price has purchased the Mormon Meteor III race car for his Price Museum of Speed Foundation in Salt Lake City, we will soon be able to view John's entire display of unique vintage race cars and memorabilia and make use of his automobile research library that will serve future generations of car enthusiasts. ~VB
