In my opinion, the most beautiful supermod ever built was Don Edmunds production of supermods in the 1960's. Here is a astounding technical drawing from the best automotive artist on the planet, Dave Kimble, of the Edmunds supermod. It's even cooler when you take the wing off!

I agree those were beautiful race cars. I remember having a plastic model of one as a kid.

I remember seeing a few of this design at Englewood Speedway in the 70's.. Fast little machines too.. But when the low slung Roadster bodies came out, this type of car wasn't much of a match!!.. Still these were super little chariots of the day!!!

Here's a cover of a July 1966 Hot Rod Magazine. It features non other than the man himself Don Edmunds, in his own creation, shot on the dirt at Ascot Speedway. And here is the 2 page layout inside the magazine detailing the car, how it's built, what goodies went into building it. Pretty much a spring front sprint car, with a bobbed tail, and a roof on it!
