Here's a neat site about Midget racing around Phoenix,Arizona going way back to the 30's. Old programs and photo's and race results.
This page is a mile long so be prepared to spend some time on it.647 (http://arizonaracinghistory.com/azmidgets)

Great post, and thanks for the link to the Arizona midget site. What I find strange about the Arizona web site (as good as it is), is the lack of modern history. Amazing results, and photo's from the 1930's, nearly 80 years ago. Then toward the end like 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 etc. it says "No Racing". This is strange since I was racing midgets starting in 1982, and I raced against the Arizona guys a lot, at Belleville, and in New Mexico. Mark Passarelli and Billy Shuman were a powerful team, Buddy Nelson, Bob Shuup, John Zerbe, were always running against our RMMRA guys. The Arizona midget club had a large membership, and a great car count at Manzanita all through the late 70's and early 80's. I think they ran as the Arizona Midget Racing Association (AMRA), can't remember for sure. Maybe they should have stated "No information available", I can tell you they did race midgets during those years.

Yeah, I did notice that also Mitch, they have race results for 1953, and then the last two programs are for 1964 & 1967. Yet,if you can ever get to the bottom of this mile long page you will find a 2009 copyright. I'm just assuming somewhere along there the "compilers" and the "maintainer" were on the outs or something.
Olen, another great job! Please keep coming up with these photos and sites they are fantastic.
Thanks Chris, I've got nothing else to do most of the time, so I surf the web a lot. Occasionally I run into some stuff that gets my attention.
