Began 1966 ended 1984.

I knew various people from the mid-west including Earl & Joe Kouba, Rex McBeth, Fred Leur, Bill Denning & Billy Wackler. Many other racers were part of that history.

I raced with my dad, Bob Thomson, in the #48 red midget from Cleghorn, IA. We raced in the following states. MN, WI, IA, MO, KS, OK and IL.

Hi Joe,

You can't imagine how nice it is to know that you, Jimmy and Chuck Snyder are still remembering the days that we had fun racing those midgets all over the midwest. I would like to hear a lot more from you, Jimmy and Chuck.

One way is to go back and forth via email quick notes or if you would like please give me a call at 402-690-0417. I really want to talk with you guys about your dad, his race cars and what you are currently doing.

I also would like to get any update possible regarding the NWMRA members that might still be around.

Thanks Rich

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the nice response.

I remember you at many of the races and your entire family. It was a great experience knowing your dad and learning of his racing history.

I live in Bellevue, NE a suburb of Omaha. I still have the #48 midget. It is still red but needs restoration. I could use some advice from you and Joe.

If you are in contact with Chuck Snyder, I would really like to talk over old times with him. Give him my telephone # 402-690-0417 and please call me yourself so we can catch up.
