The Racer's Reunion will be a blast! It's free, and as stated in the article, ANYONE with a special interest car--old/new race car, street rod, rat rod, muscle car, antique, you name it--will be welcome to bring it out. Plan on a relaxed event that features bench racing and memory sharing!

Yes! This will be fun! I've had the dates on my calender for awhile now. I'm bringing my little recorder in hopes of picking up a few more of those 'Two Minute Interviews'. Can't wait!

By the way.... good news.... the CARC Mod Coupes will be running the Saturday night CNS show without those useless wings. YEA!!!!

I have no idea why they run wings on coupes anyway.

I don't either Eric, I thought wings were for flying.

No, but I've seen Happy Ferree race a truck! Bwaaaa!:)

I must agree with wingless coupes. Leave those "cheese graters" for the roadster types.

Agree with the "no-wings for coupes" sentiment! If I ruled the World, there'd be no wings on any open-wheeled racecars except super-modifieds. I've done it both ways. Somewhat different, but you adjust the car and driving style a little bit. I always looked forward to non-wing night, as I felt like, after all those years at Lakeside without wings , I had somewhat of an advantage. Kind of the difference between winged vs. non-winged Sprint cars. Puts the emphasis on driver skill more so than with the wing. Good luck to all CARC drivers on this night!!!

My only disagreement with what you said is super modifieds. The best super mod racing in the country is wingless! :)

Well, the big weekend is here! Hope to see lots of vintage oval fans at CNS on Saturday and/or Sunday. Stop by the #17 Wisconsin "Pogo" modified, or the #71 "East Coast" Chevy coupe at the Racer's Reunion and say Hi!

I still agree with Bob. I'd like to see the wings go. And once again, let's just run stock 350's with intake manifolds! Paul

yeah paul--and bob ---i agree about the wings---my earliest memories about turning a wrench on ANY car was my granpas 33 ford that he had in s. dakota and used on the farm to hall hay---didn't have a wing on it, seemed to move all right---when we ran mods at lakeside--no wings---I had one on my car at hotlaps in 85--after the flip--I didn't want to see another wing--figured I got another 5-10 feet in altitude with the wing------steve can't wait to run without it tommorow, as the car seems to like it without----have to add some wait though---we are within 20lbs of minumum with it on----I'll have to fill his pockets with sockets before way in---see ya all tommorow and sunday----kt...ps---be sure to come and say hi on sunday---#11cmod

Thanks to all who attended this year's Racer's Reunion! Those who hosted had a blast; look for an even bigger and better Reunion in 2010!
