Another one of the hundreds who wheeled a Figure Eighter at Englewood Speedway during the 1960’s was Jack Speers. Jack also drove a Late Model at the track in the first year the speedway introduced the division. The year was 1967, and Jack Speers’ racing career caught fire pretty quick with some Figure 8 wins and a top ten finish. But, as quick as Jack appeared on the scene, it seemed he vanished just as fast. After that 1967 season, the name Speers didn’t show up in the listings again.
