DCH Christmas drive 09
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I realize that most people do not start thinking about Christmas yet, but due to all of the prep and work that goes into this, I have to start early.
Thanks Bruce
Dear Racers & Friends,
In these rough times, I realize how hard it is for all of us. Can you imagine how hard it is for an organization that relies on donations. If everyone who reads this would donate at least $5.00 or would purchase a $5.00 gift, this could be the best Christmas ever for many less fortunate kids.
As many of you know, since 1993 I have done my annual Christmas drive, since 1998 I have worked with Denver Children’s Home (DCH).
Once again it is time for me to start my Christmas drive. For anyone who does not know about my project, I take donations for the kids for Christmas. In the past we have taken NEW toys, hats, t-shirts, pictures, posters, cash, and anything else that people wish to donate. These donations will help provide a much brighter holiday season for some less fortunate kids. Donations are tax deductible and all proceeds go directly to DCH.
The Denver Children’s Home is a non-profit treatment facility providing food, clothing, recreational activities and school supplies as well as treatment for more than 450 troubled children yearly.
I hope that with your support that we can provide a much happier holiday
and make a big difference in some young lives. I wish to thank everyone for their support in the past and I hope that I can count on your continued support with this worthwhile endeavor. The kids range in age from 10-18.
For more information, I can be reached at home at 303-460-0129 or on my cell at 720-299-6805. Donations can be dropped off at my house, which is located at 10431 Moore St. Westminster, Co. 80021 or at my work, the Thornton city shop, located at 12450 N. Washington St. Donations can also be left with Joe Starr or dropped off at Sid’s Auto Service, which is located at 16360 South Golden Road. They can also be sent directly to DCH 1501 Albion St, Denver Co.80220. Anyone needing a tax deduction form, send me an address and I will mail you one.
Thank You,
Bruce Rhoades
