My thoughts and prayers go out to Rich, Marlys and the Bubak family on Sid's passing. Sid was the father of Rich and Sandy, and the husband of Marlys.
Sid passes away today after a long battle, he will be missed by many. Although Sid himself did not race, he was a great supporter of many of us who did. He was a longtime owner of Sid's Auto service in Golden and although he had many different locations his loyal customers followed him wherever he went. Rich took over the family bussiness many years ago but you still might find Sid hanging around working on something when he was in town.
Sid was always like a second father to me and I will miss him dearly. He would let me use his shop and tool's, whether working on racecars or personal cars and he would jump right in and help me out.
The family is holding a memorial service at Faith Lutheran Church in Golden on Thursday Oct.22nd at 11:00 with lunch following. The Church is located at 17701 W.16th Ave Golden Co. 80401.
Keep the Bubak's in your prayers as they go through this rough time.
