Hey all and Thanks for letting me join. I am a 51yo race junkie and have been since childhood. I grew up watching USAC races at Langhorne, Trenton, Pocono, and the Brickyard. Indy was always the first family vacation of the year. Started going to the races in 67 when AJ won #3. I love the roadsters. I was and still am Hurtubise fan, he was a true Iron Man of the sport. I look forward to visiting the site often, contributing when I can, possibly attend some local events.
But while I am here, would anyone know where I can find a copy of either Popular Mechanics, Popular Science or Mechanix Illustrated that had the plans in it the build a childs ride on push car that resembled a Miller 91 Indy car? A friend bought a piece at auction and it is a sweet item.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing y'all here.

Hey John,

Welcome to a fun site......You should fit right in with this group. Many of the early members grew up around Denver area tracks and enjoying the stocks, midgets & mods. Quite a few newer members are joining from back east and are bringing some great stuff.

Hope you can share some stories and photos. Plenty to review and enjoy on this site if you browse.

Chuck

Hey Thanks,

I grew up not far from the infamous Gasoline Alley in Paterson NJ. Pappy Hough actually narrowed a rear axle assembly for me way back when. He was a cool man. I used to see him at a motorsports show in Pa and sit and chat with him about racing at Hinchcliff Stadium and things. Gasoline Alley is still there.

John, welcome to ARM. I certified your membership so you can post pictures and stuff if you want to. Can't wait to hear some of your auto racing memories.
