If Bob Herring's crash in the late 1960's didn't alert the CARC and Lakeside to the fact that a car could go into the stands, THIS is the one that should have! An awful situation! It SHOULD have gotten their attention and precautions made to preclude the crash that eventually closed the track.

i have more photos of car after it landed. but no way to post them. AMAZINGLY this car returned to competition the next weekend and was in the trophy dash!:doh:

yea--that was a bad 1---I also saw it live----1 thing----if you look at the foto's from lakeside---all us older farts----no window nets---no hans----no wrap around shoulder and head restraints---no wonder the fans thought we were nuts----me included---kt
