I just received this email, thought I would pass it along....
Just came across your website. I have been reading the post's under the midget forum. I don't know if the following can be posted. Most of the post do not go back as far as what follows.
I have just published a book on midget auto racing in northern Ohio.
Titled: "Small Cars Brave Hearts", Midget Auto Racing In Northern Ohio 1935-1950.
It is 11" x 8.5", Hardcover, 226 pages, with over 400 photos and is a chronological history of the racing at Ft. Miami Speedway, Sportsman Park, Canfield Speedway, Akron Rubber Bowl and other lesser known track. With record setting crowds and lucrative purses drivers like Duane Carter, Mel Hansen, Ronney Householder, Paul Russo, Al Bonnell and so many others were drawn to the region and were racing six nights a week in what became the hotbed of midget auto racing. The book is being offered at $20.00 plus $6.00 for mailing. Contact Ron at ronpat@getinfo.org
Thanks,
Ron Pollock
If any of you order this book make sure to tell him that you found the info at ARM. We don't get anything for it but it's good to let folks know where they came from.
