Dave Fite 1967

Here is a shot of Dave Fite's #64 from 1967 program, this was given to me by Les Rorig and he told me that this is the body that is on my #30 car some 40 years later also on the back of the photo is the standings from Lakeside 1967.

Its amazing to me how many of these great drivers on this page have passed on.

The Dave Fite car was so beautiful! It was a lime gold color and was almost as pretty as Carol was! I met Dave when he came into Bob Hagestad's when I was a service advisor in the early '80s. They had just moved back to Colorado from Hawaii and he was absolutely flabbergasted that I remembered him from his Lakeside days! Also, to the right in the background is Lloyd Whittenburg's #75 sedan.

As for the '67 pictures, I have to comment on the Sam Sauer #60 picture. Looks like the CARC found a young girl for the trophy girl. . . seems like it's the only way they could get one SHORTER than Sammy! :rotfl:

The trophy girl in all of the above photo's is Erna Brand, Thanks to Erna who was good enough to loan me these so that we can scan them, and to Paul for scanning them.
