Here is a photo of my ONLY personal claim to fame when it comes to racing.
My racing kart. It has a 200cc modified Briggs and Stratton "World Formula" engine. (High compression cam, aftermarket carb, runs on methanol. Too much compression to pull start, requires an outboard starter to turn it over.)
It puts out about 18 hp after the modifications. And yes it smells like a midget when it runs! I won my club series championship in this kart.

I'm sure Dad would have loved "tinkering" with it.

I raced midgets from 1982 till' 96', my dad always loved going hanging in the pits with us. In the summer of 1994 me and my brother ran a couple of 100cc Yamaha/Margay karts up at Bandimere's (some kart club built the track). Dad had just as much fun hanging with us at the kart track as at the midget races, it was racing and it was a blast. Your dad would've loved it!
