This sight is too quiet.

I'm sure some of you can relate to this.
Butch Wallace and his band of nuts did
it on our driveway. Yes, I was scared.

late in the season--1981--after we had purchased the Petty car (see avatar)--but before we had torn it down, built the race motor--or painted it ----we decided to pull the engine out of our 81 street stock duster (after the 81 season, Fort Morgan still had a race meet left) and plant it in the P car---as this car was set up for the dirt (gag)--and we had not converted the suspension to pavement---so we scrounged around town for tires to fit the wide rims that came with the car for lm trim---(at this time in our career we had not run wide rims on anything!!)--so we found tires, but couldn't find a tire shop in our area with big enuff equiptment to mount these weenies---so we reverted to the basics---starting fluid and a lighter---Tommy and Rick were out in front of the shop--in the street---and used a little to much starting fluid---the tire and rim achieved low earth orbit--15-20 feet--and left a rim sized imprint in the street---no body killed---after that--all our wide rim tires were done by Whitar---!!! kt---ps---yeah--this site is on a snooze break---ps--how did we do???---took their money and went home happy!!
