Man even though I'm a hard core sprint car, and midget fan, I loved the early Late Models (before every single late model became a 1974 Camero). The wheel wells all cut out and those huge slicks sticking outside the body of the car, and many of them were beautifully painted. Here's a couple I found in old programs,
Wayne Stallsworth and his 1967 Ford#27 (from a 1973 program), and Pete Stringer in #20, a real pretty yellow Chevelle (from a 1972 program). Great looking cars.

I also loved the old late models. Used to watch them at the State Fairgrounds in Huron S.D. I remember Remo Stott and Ernie Derr and the Flyin' Farmer, but I can not for the life of me remember the Flyin' Farmers name, I believe he was out of Kansas. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it. When I was watchin' them, they were running late sixties Plymouths and Dodges except for the Farmer in a Ford if I remember correctly. Man there is nothing more bueatiful then the sound of a Hemi against a wood fence on a dirt track!!!!! Hot diggity dog, that was some good stuff!!
