According to Ron Avers, there was a time when the midgets ran indoors at the National Western Complex, located at Interstate 70 and Brighton Blvd in Denver Colorado. His Step-Father, Bert McNeese informed him of this while looking at these four pictures. He cannot identify the drivers of these cars. If you can help, please submit your findings.

The #15 is Duane Carter in the Allinger Offy, he was in town for the indoor shows, which took place early in 1954. Johnnie Parsons Sr. (1950 Indy 500 winner), and Bob McGovern promoted a series of midget races, in the Denver Coliseum. AAA was the sanctioning body for the series, they were going to have 6 shows, but only 3 actually happened. Crowds up to 6000 were reported, Johnny Key from Ca. won the first main, Gene Hartley from Indiana won one, and Bert McNeese won the last one, according to Bill Hill in "Decades of Daring", for some reason, few photo's, and records are available from those races, or least have never been published.
