Check out this program cover from a NHRA drag meet at CDR. It's a nice program, must have been a regional meet. In the program it post's the prize money for winning the Funny Car eliminator title as $800! A friend of my dad's gave me this program when I was a kid.

Here's a page from inside the Fuel Opened program, what do you suppose they meant by "Fuel Opened"? I always liked the top fuel front engine cars, a lot of them had bodies built by other race car builders. The famous "Greer, Black ,and Prudhome" digger had a body built by Wayne Ewing, he built Indy roadster bodies for A.J. Watson.

Another page from the CDR program, those Top Fuel Altered Roadsters were really neat also, and man were they fun to watch!

I love those old dragsters.

I also like the old funny cars because they actually look like recognizable production cars.
