This is what I understand about Bill Holland and Mauri Rose and the Blue Crown Specials.

I have heard that after the 1949 race a disagreement ensued between Lou Moore and Mauri Rose, and Rose quit the team?

Bill Holland had th 47' race well in hand, Blue Crown team owner Lou Moore put the "E-Z" sing on the chalk board for Holland. Holland backed off a little, thinking Rose was a lap down, Rose kept his pace up, passed Holland and went on to win. Holland pulled in the pits furious with Moore demanding an explanation from Moore, who knows how that turned out. But Holland and Rose stayed team mates through the 1949 race. Mauri Rose won in 47, and 48, Bill Holland was 2nd in 47 and 48. Holland won in 1949, Rose came in 13th with a mag failure on lap 192. Bill Holland was 2nd in 1950 for the Blue Crown team, pretty strong team for a few years there.
