Gene and Doug Plue had a Fiat bodied Lakeside CARC Jet-Coupe, that had an Ardun-Merc V-8 Conversion.

So AMT re-issues the old Double Dragster kit, it features the building of two complete cars, one a fuel dragster the a Fiat bodied altered coupe. This quite a kit, several engine combos, and different body configurations for the dragster, and few different engine arrangements, and engines do abound, Chevy's, the re blowers, fuel injection and etc. The Fiat bodied coupe has neat trick stuff too and supercharged Hemi.

Well I got to thinking, here is my chance to build Gene and Doug(gie) Plue's (I believe) white number 1 Fiat-Ardun Jet-Coupe.

Thomas,
Al Starr still has his old Fiat Jet Coupe, and it is restored and now has a flathead in it and is painted Al Starr green and #7.

Its open top I think, I will see if his son Jim has any pictures and try to get him to post them. Way back in 78 John Burrow, Merle's son raced this car against the Sprint Cars at CNS.

Great, pics would be helpful. I found a 25th scale resin cast body, all would need to do is put it on a '32 Ford frame. I know too, that are after market resin cast 25th scale Ardun Ford/Merc parts available.

Here is another shot racing with the Sprinters. Jim Starr writes "The car was red with a white #1 on it when my dad first got it. He bought it
without the ardon and put a flathead in it, then a Chevy and now it is back with a
flathead."

Bruce, I remember seeing this car at the Creme de la Chrome show over Thanksgiving weekend, and it's got a Chevy 350 in it, not a flattie.
