A very young Roy Jackson (far right) and Arnold Wallace (far left) pose with Arnolds #45 modified stocker in the pits at Colorados Lakeside Speedway. I do not know which year this is, but I suspect it was shot in th mid 60's. I believe the gentleman standing in between Arnold and Roy was their pitman who they referred to as "Shorty". No pun intended.

Another Roy Jackson photo.

This photo was a pleasant surprise for me, didn't ever remember seeing a Roy Jackson driven '32 3 window coupe. I missed most of the '66 season courtesy of Uncle Sam, so did a little research; both the #36 in the background and the #42 on the right edge of the photo were program features during the 1966 season, so must be from then. Was this #45 car orange like those that came after it?

The third man in the photo identified as "Shorty" is actually Dean Wallace he is Arnold's nephrew. Dean helped me on #29 at Lakeside, but at Second Creek if it hadn't been for Dean my cars probably wouldn't have been there at all.
He's good mechanic and a really good man. He lives in Nebraska today.

It's tough getting old and spacey. I should have added that Dean also drove at Lakeside. He had the orange #45 compact in 1968. There's a photo of him and Chuck Flanagan (?) in a Corvair hitting head on at Lakeside. In 1973 he put his Uncle Arnold's old #45 back together and raced it as the blue #47.
