Gday there, My name is Terry, I am from the land Down Under( Australia) I love Vintage Speedway, I started going to the Showground Speedway in Sydney in the 60's and fell in love with this sport! Now 40 odd years later I follow Australian Vintage Speedway but I do have a look at U.S Vintage Speedway , thats why I found this site Its really good looking at some of your history also!
We here in Australia we have been lucky to see some of your great drivers come over here and show our guys which way to go on occasions! Names like Bob Tattersall, Sherman Cleveland, A.J. Larry Rice,Mel Kenyon,to name a few in midgets! Johnny Anderson Garry Patterson, Steve Kinser,In the Sprinters, Gene Welch, Big Ed Wilbur Wayne Sue, Mike Klein in the mid 70's in their Chevvy Vegas U,S,A Sedan team, up against our boys racing all around Australia in Australia Vs U.S.A. What a great time!
I also create artwork from this great era and I look forward to sharing some of my artwork on this great Website in the future! Most of my work is from the Vintage era! I have got some American cars/ drivers you may know?
