Gilmer 1/4 Scale Midget rebuild.....

If anyone is interested, I'm in the process of rebuilding a Jan Gilmer 1/4 scale midget that came to Australia 20 years ago.Trying to get it to something similar to what Mr Gilmer produces......
Before anyone gets excited... the Offy is a GMP static model. Some of my mates down here, inquired if it was a " going motor"......Ahh....NO....don't have the $s for that kind of rebuild....sadly!

WOW......
The Pacesetter is an extremely collectible RC car these days. That one just turned into an extremely beautiful collectible RC Car. With the re-release of the bodies by Jeff Schmidt, the man who built the cars back 30 years ago, people can now maintain their original bodies and get the new ones tricked up.
I purchased 2 of the bodies for future projects and this is the paint job that will adorn the finished car.This also came from the jalopyjournal Forum. Might be the same guy...anyway he gave me permission to use his design.

Hey Bob! that same guy is me! that's Josh Shaw's drawing, I colored it when he posted it on the HAMB looking for ideas on how to paint a vintage sprint car he was building.
