Mitch I have some metal AAA Registered Race Car Placards that belonged to my father who owned Midgets and an Indy Car back in 1947 through 1958. Both Midgets still exist one is owned by Bill Jones out of San Antonio Texas and the other is in Ukia Ca owned by Bob Johnson. I'm trying to figure out which placard may belong to which car. The as an example the one from 1951 says: Registered AAA Race Car, Owner Carl L. Anderson, Car Name Anderson Offy, Program Number 6, Register Number 266, Cu. In Disp. 102, Class M. I'm curious if the Number 266 might be the chassis number? Any thoughts? John

I have almost nothing in my collection about dirt track racing in Utah, some midget racing took place on a variety of old dirt tracks in the late 40's thru the early 60's. Most modified racing in Utah was on pavement. Your car could have very well raced on dirt, but I can't find much history of dirt track modified racing in Utah. Have any current photo's of the car?

Hey Mitch. you had replied to my post about the "Edmunds Super Modified" a while back...
I was just wandering if you knew if those cars were raced on the dirt track in Utah?

Andrew, sorry I could not come up with info / photo's of your dad's midget racing days, I'll keep searching. Here are the pages from Allan E. Browns "History of the American Speedway' book, let me know if it helps.

Mitch, Do you have and information on a 1/4-3/8mile dirt track located in springdale Arkansas, unsure of a name, operated in 1966. Looking for an exact location. Dad went there as a kid and wanted to know what he could find.

That's one for Webby, I'm sort of computer illiterate....I do know sometimes you have to start a new album, I have several albums that won't allow any more pictures. For example, I've got one for "Midgets", it's full, "More Midgets", it's full to, "Still More Midgets", so on and so on.

Hey Mitch, I was going to add some pics to my 70's and 80's LM Stars thread but didn't find the Add Pictures tab in the album. Am I maxed out or just missing something? Thx Mike (Mike511)

Do you have any info on the Watson dirt champ car driven by Rodger Ward ('63), the Kaiser Aluminum Special. Looking for spec's or wheel base for starters. Thanks, Gary
