What did it say on that car??
Cars, like anything else in our lives, have been donned with nicknames and/or have had funny-stupid-crazy-strange-wild-goofy things-pictures-sayings...put on them that added to their or their owner/drivers personality. For this thread, I thought about all the weird things I have painted on race cars...whatever kind!
So, if you can remember something that falls in this catagory, let the members try to guess what it is you are thinking. It does not matter if it was a local car or not.

One that entered my mind was the #29 Rice Automotive/John Rice owned, Kenny Edwards driven Chevelle that ran at both Lakeside and E-Wood. It had a towns name painted on the back of that car, that definitely matched up with the goings on at Rice Automotive....DO YOU REMEMBER?

How about what the "Boss Moss" was holding in one hand and flipping off with the other on the trunk of Bobbie Jacksons # 3 Ed Martinac owned late Model.

Re: What did it say on that car??
I had something painted on the back of my black #95 limited late model that explained a lot about my behavior...a nickname that the announcer would use when I entered the track.

Re: What did it say on that car??
On the back of Butch Hannahs #11 blue Scotchman sponsored sedan was a character and a name that Butch was not very fond of, but I put it on there anyway.....

Linus Drielings #5 coupe had a picture of who on the cowl???

Lets see, Linus Deiling had a Charlie Brown caroon holding a steering wheel.

Clarence Krieger was known as "Tiger" and was referred to by the annoncer as "The Mayor of Garden City." That's because he actually was or still is the mayor of Garden City, Colorado, a smalltown outside Greeley.

Tak Shirimizu had C/A drag car that was nickamed "Tak's Toy". The driver sat in the back seat and engine was where the front seat was supposed to be. Tak's son Gary was the driver and the car held several national records. This car would lift the front wheels with each shift, it was really fun to watch. Incidentally, the car was actually a German Ford Taunus. It was the German answer to the English Ford Anglia. The Taunus resembled a mini '40 Ford tudor.

Chris Ertler - "professor coupe"
