Here are some great photos from the George Green collection. Although the bulk of these photos are 1940's shots of Lakeside Speedway midget still and action pictures, their are quite a few Lakeside modified as well as pictures of Colorado Nat'l Speedway dirt late models. George Green piloted the #65 CNS dirt late model from 1961-1965. He then moved on to Lakeside Speedway where he drove the #53 modified owned by the Schaffer Bros. This car was also driven by Jim "Lunchmeat" Moore. Included are pics of Georges drag car which was a early 'T' powered originally by a flat head and later by a 331 Chrysler Hemi. George still attends Nextel Cup races and I was reaquainted with him two years ago while we both attended the Midget Nat'ls in Belleville, Kansas. Thanks for the memories George.

Incredible pictures. Thanks for sharing Rick!

I love seeing old stuff that I haven't seen before.

Is that possible? I was thinking CNS was built in 1965.

Thanks for the post, Rick. A whole lot of photos, especially the midgets, that I've not seen before. Wonderful stuff.
