I just joined this forum and thought I would share my new acquisition. Found this guy in Yreka, CA, do not know the history yet, but I am very excited to restore it.

You're a lucky man, that's a good looking race car. One of my all time favorite stock bodies.

Thanks Mike, believe it or not I only paid $1000 for it, less engine and trans. It has a Ford 9" in it though. I can hardly wait to post "after" photos in a few months.

Nice find! If stock cars looked like that today, I'd go back to watching them again! Good looking late model.

Welcome aboard Rick. Please post photos as you progress with your build of that beauty. ~VB

Will do, finally got the car today, looks better in person. Needs a bit of work, but doable. Looking for a 57 283 to it in it.

Any suggestions on what I should do for a transmission?

Thanks

The Muncie M22 Rock Crusher with a Hurst shifter of course! You've got to have that nostalgic gear-whine sound. ~VB
