I bought the #100 at the top of this post from Clarence Krieger in November of 1972. It had been sitting at Clarence's for some time. Larrry let me look through his photo albums until we found a...

Re: ENGLEWOOD SPEEDWAY – The Figure 8 Revolution

"Tak's Toy" was a German Ford Taunus. It resembled a miniature '40 Ford tudor sedan. If I remember correctly it ran C/A and would pull the front wheels with every shift. It was bright orange. Tak...

Re: More Lakeside Coupes – “Who Are These Guys?”

Re: More Lakeside Coupes – “Who Are These Guys?”

In the picture of the #30 it is Bob Robinson in the plaid shirt second from the right. He is related to the Backman family. There is no connection between him and Odie or Bob Robertson

Re: C. A. R. C. Modifieds - 1950's

The guy with #111 is not Bill Starks. He doesn't even look like Bill. In those days John Stephens drove the #111 for Velmar St. Peter and John Miller drove the #11. Bill was driving his own #63 in...
