Re: Denver Fairgrounds

I believe the years were 1951 and 1952. They were AAA Sanctioned Championship Car (Big Car to some) races, I think those were the only two years that AAA came to Denver.

Re: 1940 Lakeside, Denver, CO Midget Speedway

Tommy Rice? I'll have to ask Kimberly K. (Rice) Ellis our daughter-in-law (our late son Thomas' wife). Kimberly's dad, Ron Rice and Tommy Rice were cousins, Ron died several years ago.

Re: xdriver

I remember "The Barnes Boys" Floyd and Loyd Barnes, in number 21 Plymouth, don't recall the body year, but one of the CARC members said it was a 3 window opera coupe.

Floyd, welcome to ARM.

Re: Frank Peterson, cool midget#48

You know, I think that's right. On another note, I know Sam Sauer won a semi main in the black 41 V8-60 fuel injected car, and that was probably after Spyder drove it. You should have seen it, after...
