Here are the cars I was thinking of, Mitch. This is from 1982 with the Super K #391 in front of the Dean Thompson's #1, both built by the Bromme's. Prior to downtubes. I sure like the looks of these...

If you look close in this photo, right in the middle, you'll see the yellow #19 car that Al Keller drove on this fateful day. He is shown next to the left front tire just after climbing out the car...

They beat me to it, Eddie Wirth! The Super K cars were built by the Bromme's, if I remember correctly. Jerry can correct me if I'm wrong. They always looked sensational:)

A couple of 11's from the 1983 CRA Sprint Car Races at the California Midwinter Fair in Imperial. Danny Lewis in the #11 and Duane Feduska in the #011.

That was the problem. I re-sized this one. Taken in 1971 with Bill Gadda in front of future Indy 500 driver Steve Chassey at the California Midwinter Fair in Imperial.

Tried that in Firefox, still shows "upload of file failed". Not sure why all of a sudden it won't allow. I haven't changed any settings. I'll keep trying:)

Here is another photo that I believe was taken by Lon Hettinger. This one shows Jerry McClung on the outside of Curt Waters at the March 8, 1970 California Midwinter Fair in Imperial.

This is from March 8, 1970 during CRA action at the California Midwinter Fair in Imperial. Larry Clark of Tolleson, Arizona in what I believe is a photo taken by Lon Hettinger.

It WAS wild racing back in the 70's! There was an old guardrail, or parts of one, on the south end. When a driver got into the turn a little hot, he probably would fly off the track like a slot car....
