Re: Australian Midgets in the 1960s.

Thanks for sharing that Bob. I've been attending midget races since being a small child. Not down under but in Central Calif. starting in 53' so I certainly remember those cars and how brave those...

Not the real cars but scratch built 1/8 scale models of two of the better know supermodifieds that raced at San Jose Speedway back in the 70s. The #3 of Howard Kaeding and the #1 of Nick Rescino....

Re: Different looking Sprint Car

Yep I watched those guys battle it out at Clovis, right outside of Fresno, in the late 50s and early 60s. They went from hardtops to modifieds to supermodifieds. It was great racing back then. I love...

Re: Mini Stock Racing - 1970's & Beyond

I was cleaning up some stuff, last week, and found a picture of my FASCAR mini modified from 1980 that I raced at the Reno fairgrounds. The rules were any 1,200 cc motor Datsun or Toyota, VW front...

Re: Brave!

It is interesting. Back when I raced in the early 70s, I felt, then, that those cars were somewhat safe, although guys still got hurt and even parished, every year, racing sprints, midgets and...

Re: Different looking Sprint Car

I'm 65 years old so I'm a huge fan of traditional sprinters, not cars like I posted. Those supers, like the Sargents ran, in San Jose were big and ugly. All wings and a Great Gatsby tail. When they...

Re: 1/8 Scale Watson Indy Roadster
