Re: Speedway Royale - Sydney Showground.
Bob, I always enjoy posts from the Land Down Under. There are only three countries that have excellent open wheel dirt track racing. OZ, NZ, and the USA. I need to visit there some time.

Re: Roaring Roadsters of the 1940's
If you look at the driver listing in the program, you will see three Russells listed. T.E., my dad, Bob, my uncle, and Glenn, also my uncle. Three of the five "Racing Russells."

Re: GENE PASTOR - The Two Minute Interview
I met Gene at the Rocky Mountain Rod and Custom Car Show in November. I had my car in the show, and Gene was there with a couple of classic midgets. I had no idea that he drove for Curt Stockwell,...

Re: You've got a Central IL newbie here ....
I was stationed in Rantoul for four years in the early seventies. Went down to Springfield to watch the champ cars at the fairgrounds. As hop laps started, I see A. J. flying into the first turn,...

Re: Roaring Roadsters of the 1940's
I believe the 74 may also be my dad, as this looks like his first car. But, I was only three at that time, so I can't be sure.
Also, the number three car, that you have posted in the gallery, but...

Re: Roaring Roadsters of the 1940's
