Default 48/49 Bryan and others

My dad was an owner/builder in the late 40s. One of his main drivers was Jimmy Bryan. Dads co-owner was a guy named Dick Frincke, who sadly passed last October. At Dicks services, dad got up and talked about how they met in 1932, walking into kindergarden for the 1st time....they were lifetime best friends since.

In the next few posts I'll load some pics and info..

I have a lot more of Bryan and dozens of other drivers. If there is someone you would like just let me know and I'll see if I have it. Crica 48-49-50 Southern California.

Wow!! Great stuff thank you for sharing.

This is why this site is so great. If it weren't for folks like you sharing this stuff it might eventually fade away. Here we can keep these memories alive.

That is wonderful stuff, amazing history, you can see why a guy like Bryan could make a darn good living, for 1948/49 driving a midget!

Mitch,
Make no mistake...these guys all had full time jobs too. My dad got out because he wanted to start a family and racing 2 or 3 times a week plus fixing and transporting the cars just was not in moms plans.
Bryan kept driving. Dick Frincke moved to Mammoth Mt CA and became a small business man and was fire cheif for many years. My dad also became a small business man in northern Nevada and now lives out his years still married to the same gal on the Oregon coast. Not many raacers can claim 65 years of marrage.

I'll try to post some more pics later today.
