Default Re: Vintage Speedway Program Ads

Here's a couple from my home track, Ruapuna Speedway, Christchurch New Zealand, taken from the program for the meeting run 8th November, 1975

Peter Annan is a bit of a legend in New Zealand, as is the car in the picture

Good incentive for discount if you are going to buy a car...

From Langhorne Speedway in eastern Pennsylvania from 1965. The track was dirt until 1965 when they paved it then in 1967 it closed. It's now a shopping mall. The unique thing about Langhorne is it had no straightaways. It was one big circle. One mile and man, was it fast!

Again not from a program, but a Aug 12 1969 Illustrated Speedway News. But I thought it was cool.

There is a Burger King in downtown Naperville, IL that has kept the classic exterior like the one in your ad. Found a link:http://www.flickr.com/photos/mss2400/272482758/
