Question... What happened to Tami's? - Auto Racing Memories

Anyone know why Tami's Burger Haven closed? Drove by Jim's on Sheridan and it was still open. How about the other Jim's and Grandpa's? Tami's was a cool place to hang out with the hot rods, classics and muscle cars.

Grandpa's is still on south Federal, I was up around 88th and Washington and I am pretty sure I saw the North Jim's still open this past weekend...

After reading this post we took a drive by to see for ourselves. There was a dump trailer outside and they were emptying the place. When we got home Miss Peggy called Jim's Burger Haven to see if they knew any info. The restaurants were at one time in the same family. She was told that Tami wanted to retire and couldn't find a buyer so she shut the place down. So those of us that spent time in northwest Denver have lost another landmark. I started eating there 52 years ago. Guess nothing is forever. I would have thought that with a new Walmart be built at the sight of the Lakeside shopping center the potential for more traffic on 44th would have made a difference.

That really bummer, You are right Chris nothing is forever it goes by the way side like Rockybuilt Burgers.
