Prayers needed for Dan Day - Auto Racing Memories

We have just been informed that CARC Lifetime member and Hall of Fame member Dan Day received serious head injuries in a fall from a ladder. Dan is hospitalized and his condition is critical. Please say a prayer for Dan's recovery. Dan was one of the great drivers at Lakeside Speedway and a fierce competitor. More information will be posted as it is received.

We are all hoping for the best in a most unfortunate situation. Dan is one of the nicer people you could ever hope to meet and will be in our thoughts in the days to come.

I was informed by my friend, Dan's son Jeff that he died today.
Went by Carl's Pizza today to see your photo on the wall. You'll be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Day family. Dan was one of the best drivers I have ever had the privelege to have my cars race against. Rest in peace Dan.

To the Dan Day family and friends.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I only wish I’d had the good fortune to know him as you did.

Life seems so un-fair and short sometimes but KNOW that Dan has gone ahead to prepare a special place to greet and receive his family and friends once again where we all can rejoice and re-live all the fond memories.

May the Lord be with you and comfort you through this difficult time.

I have a feeling Dan would enjoy seeing you guys celebrating all the many memories you shared.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

That is sad news indeed. Always enjoyed talking with Dan at the Greybeards show and the CARC reunions. Had a really great conversation with him some years ago when he stopped by my work place to get some equipment serviced. Super nice guy. Going to miss him.
