Default Bob Olds passes

Gene Pastor informed me today (3-4-14) that Bob Olds passed away last Saturday evening. A memorial service will be held for Bob at St. Josephs Catholic Parish 969 Ulysses St. Golden, Colorado Saturday 3-10-14 at 10:00 am.

May he rest in peace.

Man, another Colorado auto racing legend passes. I always admired Bob Olds, he never, ever put anything less than first class equipment on the race track. He lived his life that way, RIP Bob.

Vintage Oval Racing Magazine, had Derek Lewin write this nice bio on Bob Olds in it's April 2013 edition.

No doubt Bob Olds is a household name for Denver race fans.

Sad to see this era fading away.

RIP Bob.

I spent at lot of Saturdays and Sundays at Bob's dealership on West Alameda, when I was a just a kid. Dad would go there once a week just to go visit with Bob. (Work on his Offys too). Bob always made my brother and I feel welcome. He always took the time to say hello and visit with us too. Even though we were just kids. We got to sit in the race cars too!

He had lots of stories about my dad, Ozzie and so many others. I enjoyed visiting with him the past few years at the vintage midget show at Burt Chevy.

I will miss him. Now he, dad and Ozzie and all the rest can have laughs together again!

Thank you Bob!
