So I was really digging the vintage sprint car page of Facebook, someone posts a shot of a sprint car with obvious roll cage damage. I dig through my stuff and find these sequence shots, John Lucas wrecking his USAC sprint car on a couple of occasions. Someone said they thought that Lucas had Steve Stapp put a new roll cage on the car, it was originally built by Paul Leffler. Low and behold, the second photo series you can tell the roll cage was not a original Leffler, but looks like a Stapp roll cage. My post was taken down, the admin told me not to post crash photo's as they are banned on the page. I said, it was in the interest of history...he banned me and said I could "enjoy finding crash photo's elsewhere", anyway, this guy in the photo's was not badly injured.
PS: if I ever meet that admin face to face, I will punch him in the face. |
