Default Dunges-Glass 56 Ford

Have not seen a picture of the Dunges-Glass 56 Ford that ran at Englewood. It was candy blue with some of the chrome trim still on it I think. At the time one of the few blue oval we could cheer for! And a great looking one at that. Who was the driver and any pictures?

When I hear the name Doenges-Glass Ford I always think of the Ralph Young owned #1 '67 Ford that Wayne Stallsworth wheeled in the early '70's.

But! After thumbing through some late '60's Englewood programs I found a listing for the car I think you might have seen. A 1968 Super Stock listing has car #130, sponsored by Doenges-Glass Ford. Bruce Hayes from Denver is down as owner/driver and the car is listed as a '55 Ford. Looks like he timed in at 18:60 on that night, which would have put him about mid-pack.

That's all I can find at the moment.

Yes that would be about the right time frame. At that time I think Wayne was driving a Candy red Chevy II. Again anouther great looking car. And ran very well!
