been so long...I only recognize a few---Bob Land, Tony Spano? and Ronnie Lee in the first pic----Frank Denning Jr in the second 1, ---Ed Steif ..."fast eddie" in the 99---Terry Martinez in the #42 on his outside----and Jim Brown in the #77---the 120 does not appear in the programs I have from back then----It might be a car from out of town/different track....but I've been known to be wrong before---

I would be remiss if I didn"t post some pics of our #44---- ...first pic is Moose with unknown...86/87 time period in the ex Rick Losh #95----second pic is start of fast heat---Phil Jones in the #83 and Moose in the #44----at the back is the #9 of Gary Burton.

The #120 is none other than the future NASCAR crew chief, Joe Garone.

Gary Burton, shown here collecting some more hardware driving the Lyle Ellsworth owned #9 Ltd. late model.

Mike Case in the Case and Wright #74 lines up for some racing action.

Phil Jones cruises around the 1/5th mile track in his "Vette".

Mike Steiff gets trophies and some kisses after winning a race. Mike was the "MIKE" in "VALMIKEDS MACHINE SHOP".

Gary Garrison waits in the lineup in his car featuring the number 59, the number passed down from his father, the ONE, the ONLY....THE LEGEND...PAUL GARRISON.

I forgot to mention that these photos and the photos from the previous post are from the Mark "Kappy" Kaplan collection. For those of you who where there and cannot remember "Kappy"....he was on "I THINK...Don and Glenn Lightharts crews and speaks with a hard-to-understand, gets-worse-when-alcohol-is-added NEW YORK accent. Anyway, Thanks "Kappy" for the great memories.

In the #44 car, it looks like "Moose" Harmon warms up for some action. Like Kevin told us two posts ago, this was my old car from 1985.

Chris Miles, drives the #11, owned and built by his father Tim into the south corner of Lakesides fifth mile asphalt oval. Tim Miles built and maintained almost all of the Carelli owned cars.

Number 39 was owned and driven by Sam Houston, but in this photo it appears to be Glenn Lighthart, son of Don Lighthart (66) at the controls.

The #71 car, according to the official CARC program, was owned by PMA Enterprises and driven by Phil Abeyta. Interesting body style on this car.

Last, but not least, the late Don Lighthart collects some hard earned trophies during racing action in the year 1986.

Rick, the last photo is the late Don Lighthart, driving the #66 that he and my brother built.

I believe that the Sam Houston #39 was the only 6 cylinder powered Late Model to run at Lakeside.
