What ever happened to Ronnie McDowell he was a fantastic driver ,maybe one of the first to go with the later style bodies. And i also liked to see Spider Anderson in the Midget, gosh I miss those nights at PPS!
Thanks Mike for your reply, over the years I have lost all my pics of there I think.

It's been great reading all the storie's about PPS and CSIS, spent many saturday night's at both track's keeping the car running and enjoying some of the best racing around. Those were great time's, wish I could go back and re-live them sometime's.

His name was Robert (Bob) Fraser. He worked with Ed Copeland. Ed was tragically killed during the 4th of July races, which he loved. I can't recall the year. My dad went over to CSIS when it opened and was there for a while. I have 3 of his jackets that were issued to him. I will get pictures posted of those soon. Unfortunately, I don't have any other items or pictures from that time, so I love looking at the ones that have been submitted!! Thanks to all
I think I found a picture of your dad.

Here's a news article from Pikes Peak Speedway after the PPSCRA moved to Colorado Springs International. Gives a good view of the guys who decided to stay at Pikes Peak Speedway.

The track along Nevada Ave. north of Fillmore was the Roswell track. That area was initially known as Roswell and then later incorporated into Colorado Springs. The Pikes Peak Library has a few images in their special collection of photos. From some dates I have seen I believe the track was no longer in use by the early 50's.
