![]() "Stay tuned for the greatest spectacle in racing" ~ Sid Collins LAKESIDE - Late at night by the old Lakeside Speedway, you can hear the ghosts - The barking, crackling "Flathead Fords", the zinging "Chevy Stove Bolt's", The rumbling of the "KK-Offy's", and the snarling "Ford V8-60's". Listen and faintly hear the announcer say, "Ladies and gentlemen, the line up for the trophy dash," and the place would erupt with the mix echoes of cheers and boo's...Remember... ![]() |

Hi Thomas,
What a wonderful day...watching a great race while it is snowing outside. Only thing better than that would be watching a race at Lakeside Speedway. MEMORIES Thank you, ![]() Miss Peggy Ertler Avatar photo by Joe Starr Craig Moore driver, Second Creek 1996 |

If memory serves me right, the Wednesday night programs were the events that the RMMRA ran, and some were make ups race meets, or from ran outs. I'm searching my old programs and stuff, but can't verify the Wed. night shows. I remember that for at least one season, maybe 2, Mitch Miller ran the midgets of the RMMRA on Wed. nights, split with the mini-stocks. I'll try to find verification and post it.
